Identifying Activity Limitation and Decline in Quality of Life in Patients with Knee Osteoarthritis Who Are Scheduled to Undergo Total Knee Arthroplasty

This study examines factors associated with activity limitation and the decline in quality of life patients knee osteoarthritis (OA), to determine standard values that would be useful for understanding disease state. We assessed individual factors, modified version Self-Rating Frenchay Activities Index (SR-FAI), Japanese Knee Osteoarthritis Measure (JKOM) 661 participants. Multiple regression analyses were used examine relationship between dependent explanatory variables. Standard calculated after stratifying based on related each variable through multiple analyses. Among participants aged 60-74/75-89 years, SR-FAI 23/19 20/18 points K-L grades III IV males, 29/23 26/21 females, respectively. The JKOM 35/49 45/59 males 41/52 47/60 These are a index interpreting degree satisfaction reduction OA, could help clinical decision making healthcare providers.
